Minors Policy

UNDER 18S ENTRY

MELBOURNE

Fortress is the home for all gamers – and that includes people under 18. As a licensed venue however, all minors MUST be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.

If you are under 18 (or cannot provide a valid photo ID when asked  to prove your age) you must register with your responsible adult at our reception and be wristbanded. This wristband identifies minors and helps us to continue to serve alcohol in our venue responsibly.

U18 ACCESS HOURS

U18’s are permitted to enter the venue until 7PM each day, and must leave before 8PM.

RESPONSIBLE ADULTS

A responsible adult is defined by the Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission (VGCCC) as a person who is 18 years or older and is:

  • the minor’s parent, step-parent, guardian, grandparent, or
  • the minor’s spouse who is over the age of 18 years, or
  • a person who is acting in place of a parent and who could reasonably be expected to exercise responsible supervision of the minor – for example, a sporting coach.

For more information on minors in licensed premises or the definition of a responsible adult, please see the VGCCC website.

The only ID (identification) that can confirm proof of age is an acceptable evidence of age document.
